Gochang County
The county Gochang ( Kor. 고창군, Gochang -gun ) is located in the province of Jeollanam -do and borders on the Yellow Sea. The administrative headquarters is located in the city Gochang - eup.

Tourist Destinations
In the district there are the Dolmenstätten of Gochang, which was included as a World Heritage Site in UNESCO's list of World Heritage (Asia and Oceania) in 2000. In a valley 447 different forms of dolmens are distributed.
In the year 1979 (336 m) to the mountain Seonunsan a provincial park set up in which the built in 577 Seonunsa temple is located.
In the eastern district lies the in 1453 completed Fort Gochangeupseong, which is surrounded by a 1684 m long wall.
