God Macabre
God Macabre was a death metal band from Valberg in Sweden. They are considered one of the most important bands in the Swedish death metal scene of the early 1990s.
Band History
The band was founded in 1988 as a grindcore band under the name Botten På Osterburken and notified shortly thereafter in Macabre End has to offer. The only demo was re-released a year after release as an EP. In 1991, the band then called into God Macabre and received a recording contract with the German music label MBR Records in which also the only album "The Long Winter " was released. A short time later, the band broke up. The album was re-released in 2002 by Relapse Records.
