Content

After an introduction by George Townshend and a foreword by Shoghi Effendi he treats the history of the Baha'i faith. The book he divided into four parts, describing various periods. The first period is the period of the influence of the Bab from 1844-1853 and is dealt with in Chapter IV. The second period is the period of the influence of Baha'u'llah from 1853-1892 (Chapter VI - XIII). The third period of 1892-1921 is the time of the ministry of Abdu'l-Baha (Chapter XIV- XXI). The fourth period, finally, deals with the beginning of the so-called Formative Age of the Baha'i Faith from 1921-1944, and describes in Chapters XXII- XXV the Bahai faith under his own guardianship, ie the structure and development of the administrative order, the attacks on Baha'i institutions and the international expansion of the teaching.
