The Goemai is a Chadian language ( Afro- Asian, westtschadisch A), which is spoken in Plateau State in central Nigeria, from a total of 200,000 people.
His spokesman called themselves and their language itself as ' Goemai '; in the older linguistic and ethnographic literature, the term ' Ankwe ' is used to refer to the people and their language.
Goemai is a predominantly isolating language with the word order subject-verb - object.
