The Goerdeler -Gymnasium ( GG) is an urban high school of the city of Paderborn, named after the resistance fighters in Nazi Germany Carl Friedrich Goerdeler. It is located on the western edge of the core city of Paderborn.

History

In March 1966, the city of Paderborn decided to build a second high school in urban sponsorship on the western outskirts. It should be the first co-educational school run in Paderborn. On September 7, 1967, the first day of school for the Municipal modern language school for boys and girls in development. Two classes of the fifth school year based pavilions next to the St. George Elementary School at the Erzbergerstraße. On September 10, 1969, construction began on the Goerdelerstraße for the new school building. Before this could be obtained on 16 August 1971 the rooms of the Luther School at Abdinghof were used for several years. Since in common parlance the terms quickly penetrated high school at the Goerdelerstraße or Goerdeler- Gymnasium, the new school the end of 1972 officially received its present name.

In September 2007, the school celebrated the fortieth anniversary of its existence.

The school carries out a project Haymatloz taking into account the history of the German -Turkish relations.
