Goidelic languages
The Goidelic languages , also known as Gaelic or, somewhat inaccurately, q - Celtic languages are a branch of the Celtic languages dar. The name is derived from the mythical people of Goidels. Confusingly, are usually referred to all three languages only as " Gaelic ".
Among them are the following languages:
- Irish ( Gaeilge ) the Newfoundland dialect, the Newfoundland Irish
- Whose Neuschottländer dialect, the Canadian Gaelic
The three Goidelic languages are very similar, especially Irish and Scottish Gaelic, Manx with the Scottish Gaelic is closer than the Irish. All modern Goidelic languages goes back to the early medieval Irish ( Alt-/Mittelirische ) back, the term " Goidelic " but include much higher levels of language as the archaic Irish ( before 600 AD, is in Ogam script).
