The river Gojeb is located in Ethiopia, near the town Shebe.

He has traveled in October 2002 as part of the expedition " adventure Ethiopia " by expedition leader Bauböck Reinhold and his team for the first time. The Expedietion took a total of six days. The navigation of the river began in Amiyo and ended at the river mouth in the Omo, a total of 180 kilometers were covered. Also the Omo is frequented later this about 820 miles. The report shows that, even biological problems were present in addition to the geographical difficulties, such as white water sections that were worse passable, which were represented by crocodiles, hippos and flies. Bauböck published his expedition results later in his book Adventure Ethiopia.
