Gokels

Gokels is a municipality in the district of Rendsburg -Eckernförde in Schleswig -Holstein. Ohrsee situated in the municipality, which has existed in its present form since 1938.

Geography and transport

Gokels is located about 22 km southeast of heather in a rural setting. The Auniederungen are conservation area.

North of Gokels runs the Kiel Canal, West of the federal highway 23 from Hamburg to Heath. The village also lies on the railway line Neumünster Heath. In passenger transport, the maintenance Gokels is served every two hours.

History

From a prehistoric settlement evidenced by numerous burial mounds in the municipality.
