Golaten is a municipality in the Bern-Mittelland administrative district in the canton of Bern in Switzerland.

Geography

Golaten is located in central Switzerland at the reservoir low Ried, a valuable area for waterfowl. There can be identified two districts, Golaten and laughter. At the southeastern edge of the municipality rivers Aare and Sarine together. The neighboring communities of north clockwise are starting Radelfingen, Muhlenberg, Wileroltigen, Kerzers and Kallnach.

Policy

The municipal councils of Golaten are no volunteers, but are chosen by an official compulsion and can emerge at the earliest two years after taking office.

The voter shares of the parties at the national elections of 2011 were: SVP 43.5 %, BDP 17.9 %, GPS 6.7 %, FDP 6.6 %, glp 5.7 %, EDU 5.2 %, SP 4.4 %, EPP 3.5 %, SD 1.5 %, CVP 1.1 %, animal Party 1.1 %, Jimy Hofer plus 1.0 %.

Traffic

Traffic Technically, the village is quite remote, since it is bounded on the east by the Lake and the River Aare and no major bridge over leads.
