Golden State Foods

Golden State Foods ( GSF ) is a US-based company with headquarters in Irvine (California), one of the largest ingredient suppliers of the U.S. food industry. Established in 1947, now supplies over 20,000 food service restaurants ( since the 1950s, especially McDonald's, as well as KFC, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and others) with drinks, meat products, vegetables and fruit ( in a joint venture with Taylor Fresh Fruits ) and baked goods ( joint venture with the Texas wholesale bakery Mid South ) and offers various other services for its customers (for example, cleaning and repainting, parks maintenance, logistics). It exports to over 50 countries worldwide. Outside the United States there are more manufacturing facilities in Cairo (Egypt; factory for baked goods and liquid products such as ketchup and mustard), as well as Sydney and Perth (both Australia; fruit and vegetable processing). GSF employs approximately 3,000 employees worldwide. The turnover in 2006 amounted to 2.6 billion U.S. dollars.
