The Gold Wing Warbler ( Vermivora chrysoptera ) is a small bird in the family of warblers ( Parulidae ).

In breeding plumage the male has a gray top plumage and a white underside plumage. On the crown of the plumage is yellow and the wing-coverts are yellow wing bars. About the eyes runs a backward undressing wide black stripe and the throat area is also black. In the females these sites are gray and it has a total of a duller plumage.

Gold Wing Warbler feed mostly on insects.

Near the bottom in a bush or directly on the ground a cup-shaped nest is built. In the nest, the female lays four to five eggs.

The breeding areas of gold leaf warbler are located in eastern North America and southern Canada. In winter, he moved to South America and is also a very rare visitor in Western Europe.
