Goldie Harvey

Goldie Harvey ( born October 23, 1983 in Lagos as Susan Oluwabimpe Filani, † February 14, 2013 ibid ) was a Nigerian R & B singer. She won in her music career various African Music Awards, including the Best Naija Award.

Life

Filani was born in 1983 in Ikeja Medical Centre in Lagos, the daughter of the then Director General of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Olabisi Betty Filani, and the Director of the Access Bank.

This was followed by school visits at the Greensprings Montessori Primary School. Filani later attended St. John's College, Palm Grove, Lagos State, where she met Christian religious knowledge. After graduating from St. John 's College, she went for her business management studies at the University of Sunderland. There she graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor and returned to Nigeria. She has now started her music career and a successful producer OJB Jazzreel released her first single Komole. It was followed by three more singles with Spin Me, Nothing has Changed, and Shift. Her four singles were part of a compilation. After the music industry faltered in the following years, she signed only in 2010 their first major recording contract with the label Kennis Music. There she released her first album with gold in the same year. With this, she won the Best Female Video Award at the 2010 Sound City Music Video Awards for their video for the single release You Know It. In the same year she also won the title for the best costume in a Nigerian music video as part of the Nigerian Music Video Awards for her single Jawo Jawo.

2005, Filani, became known as the public until after her death, married the British Andrew Harvey. 2012 Filani took part in Big Brother Africa, where she met the Kenyan rapper Prezzo. About the relationship between the two has been publicly reported, according to Harvey's husband, however, this was only part of the show.

After her return from the Grammy Awards 2013 Harvey complained of a headache and went to the Reddington Hospital in Victoria Iceland in Lagos State. There she died on 14 February 2013, the consequences of a cerebral hemorrhage.
