Golloborda

Golloborda ( Albanian: Gollobordë and Gollobërda respectively Gollobërdë, Bulgarian: . Голо Бърдо, macedonian: Голо Брдо ) is a mountainous region in eastern Albania. A small portion of this land on the Black Drin belongs to Macedonia. The main towns are Ostren i Madh, Shupenza, Trebishta and Ostren i Vogel, all located in the Albanian district Bulqiza. The inhabitants of these places for the most part speak Macedonian.

Golloborda is one of the most poverty-stricken areas of Albania. Since the establishment of the Albanian borders (1913 and 1921 ) the region is cut off from their slightly more northerly old urban center Debar. While this majority Albanian populated city came to Serbia and today is Macedonian, Slavic villages of Golloborda Albania were slammed.
