The Gomal (also Gumal, Pashto / Dari گومل رود Gomal Rud Urdu دریائے گومل Darya e Gwmal ) is a river in Afghanistan and Pakistan, which opens on the right side in the Indus.

Course

The source of the Gomal located in the north of the province of Paktika, Sar Hawza in the district. From there, it crosses the entire province in a southeasterly direction. The course changes on the Pakistan border in eastern direction. In Pakistan Kundar, Wana Toi and Zhob among the most important tributaries of the Gomal. About 30 kilometers south of the town of Dera Ismail Khan it flows into the Indus. The river has a length of nearly 400 kilometers.
