Gong Jinjie

Jinjie Gong (宫 金 杰Gong Jinjie, born November 12, 1986 in Jilin ) is a Chinese track cyclist, specializing in short-term disciplines.

Gong Jinjie heard since the mid- 2000s to the best track cyclists in China today. She recorded her first international success in 2006 when she finished second in the sprint behind her compatriot Guo Shuang at the Asian Games in Doha. In the UCI Track World Championships 2008, she was together with Lulu Zheng Vice World Champion in the team sprint. This success could be repeated in 2010 with Junhong Lin. There were also numerous podium finishes at UCI Track Cycling World Cup race, in the Keirin and 500 -meter time trial, the last victory of the team sprint at the first round of the UCI Track Cycling World Cup 2010/2011 in Melbourne, which she won along with Shuang.

In the UCI Track World Championships 2012 in Melbourne Gong won the bronze medal in the team sprint, together with Guo Shuang. In the same year, at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, Gong and Guo won the silver medal in the team sprint, after they had been as winners of the final run due to a faulty reset to the second place.

In the UCI Track World Championships 2013 in Minsk Gong won the silver medal in the Keirin, respectively, and together with Guo in the team sprint.
