Gongguan Station

The Gongguan Station (Chinese公馆 车站, Pinyin Gōngguǎn Chezhan ) is a metro station on the green line ( Xindian Line) MRT Taipei, located between the districts of Da'an and Zhongzheng near the National Taiwan University. It was opened on 11 November 1999.

To the east is the main campus of the National Taiwan University, on the west side is the Gongguan night market with many shops and restaurants.

History

Railway station of Taiwan Railway Gongguan

  • January 22, 1921: The section Wanhua - Gongguan the Xindian line is opened.
  • March 25, 1921: The Xindian line is continued by Gongguan to Xindian Station.
  • March 24, 1965: The operation of the station is set together with the Xindian Line.

When the MRT Taipei Station

  • The original plan, the National Taiwan University Station at the intersection Xinsheng Nanlu and the Gongguan station at the intersection of Jilong Lu set is changed and the two stations together.
  • November 11, 1999: The station was opened together with the Guting - Xindian section.
  • June 17, 2010: At the output 2 a disabled lift is opened.
