Gonnelien Rothenberger

Gonnelien Rothenberger - Gordijn ( born June 5, 1968 in Weert ) is a Dutch dressage rider.

At the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta she brought dondolo with the Dutch team along with her husband Sven behind the victorious German team the silver medal.

Career

Rothenberger - Gordijn is the daughter of the Dutch stallion owner Adri Gordijn († 2011). She started with 8 years began to ride. With already 11 years it was promoted by the well-known Grand Prix judge Jan, the Peeters. He is the instructor of their European Championship ponies Baboen. Later Gonnelien was further trained by the former Dutch national coach Henk van Bergen. In 1989 she moved to Germany to train with Conrad Schumacher and Ellen Bontje at Hofgut Neuhof. By 2001 the couple Rothenberger have trained each other.
