Gonzaga (Cagayan)

Gonzaga is a municipality in the Philippine province of Cagayan. The municipality is located in the northeast of the province. In 2010, the 567.4 km ² area counted 36 303 inhabitants, resulting in a population density of 64 inhabitants per km ². The eastern area of Gonzaga is very mountainous. In the West, rice fields are located in the river valleys and around the volcano Cagua. A major educational institution in the community is the Cagayan State University.
