Gonzalo Aguirre

Gonzalo Aguirre Ramírez (born 25 January 1940 in Montevideo) is a Uruguayan politician, lawyer and journalist. From 1 March 1990 to March 1, 1995, he served as vice president under President Luis Alberto Lacalle.

Aguirre studied law and became a well-known lawyer of Constitutional Law. In the elections of 1984, which ended the military rule in Uruguay, he was a candidate for his party Por la Patria to the vice president candidate in.
