Gooderham Building

The Gooderham Building (commonly referred to as the Flatiron Building ) is a built red brick high-rise building in Toronto, Canada. The building is located at the eastern end of the financial district in the Wellington Street. In this district the first homes were built in the newly founded York ( former name of Toronto ) after 1793.

Named after William Gooderham Gooderham Building was built in 1882 and is, as the better known New York Flatiron Building ( " flatiron " on German irons ) also called because of its distinctive triangular shape as Iron building.
