Google Shopping
Google Product Search (formerly Froogle ) is a product search service of the company Google Inc.
Operation
The dataset of Google Product consists firstly of automatically searched websites, similar to the database of Google. On the other dealers can register their products manually. The use of the Product is free for buyers; it is funded by Google Adwords, but the seller must now pay for listing their products. Originally the offer was free for sellers, but was on February 13, 2013 with costs. The offer is not an Internet store, it provides only search and compare functions, as well as links to the product pages of other internet shops.
History
Froogle is in the United States, the United Kingdom, and in beta since 2008 also in Germany since about 2002. In April 2007, the search service Froogle has been renamed product search in Google, now the site presents under the name Google Shopping.
