Google Sites

History

Originally the company JotSpot worked on " social software " specially designed for small and medium businesses. In October 2006 the company was acquired by Google. In February 2008, Google Sites was unveiled as a new service from Google. The software uses the JotSpot technology. Since March 2008, the Google service is freely accessible.

Functions

Users can choose from various pre- prepared page types. Simple text pages, pages for files, lists and forum sites are possible. Access to the sides can be controlled by invitations. Restrictions
