Gordon Douglas (director)

Gordon Douglas ( * December 15, 1907 in New York City; † September 29, 1993 in Los Angeles ) was an American film director.

Douglas ' film career began with work as an actor and casting director in the studio of Hal Roach. There he also started his career as a director, among others with short comedies of the " Our Gang " series ( Engl.: " The Little Rascals "). During this time he also shot films with Oliver Hardy ( " Zenobia, the fair Elephant ") and with Hardy and Stan Laurel ( " On the high seas ").
