Gordon Durie

Gordon Scott Durie (born 6 December 1965 Paisley ) is a former Scottish footballer who played in the position of striker.

During his career, he stood at the clubs East Fife FC, ​​Hibernian FC, Chelsea FC, Tottenham Hotspur, Glasgow Rangers and Heart of Midlothian under contract. For the Scottish national football team, he completed 43 games and scored seven goals.

The highlight of his career represents his time with the Rangers, where he was part of the champion team of 1996/97 season. His most famous game was the Scottish Cup final in 1996, where he managed a hat-trick in a 5-1 victory over Heart of Midlothian. Since the Rangers squad contained very many talents, he never really came into play there. Today he is considered one of the most underrated players in the Rangers.

2001 Durie ended his professional career and operates since 2004 in Dalgety Bay, a real estate business. His son Scott plays for the FC East Fife in the third Scottish professional league.
