Gorey ( Irish: Guaire ) is a town in County Wexford in the south east of Ireland.

Gorey town in north County Wexford about six kilometers from the east coast of Ireland between the North Arklow and Enniscorthy in the south on the N11 from Dublin to Wexford.

By Iarnród Éireann is Gorey both by Intercity on the route Dublin - Rosslare connected as well to the South Eastern Commuter by Iarnród Éireann. In addition to several regional bus companies connecting Bus Éireann Gorey on the one hand with the Busáras in Dublin and Waterford and other hand in a day and night service with the Dublin Airport and Rosslare Harbour.

Due to its location on the N11 which connects the town in an hour with the outskirts of Dublin, Gorey has become an interesting place to live for commuters, which has led to a strong increase in population especially since the mid -1990s; the Census 2006, the population of Gorey was determined with 7,193 people.

The politician and Nobel Peace Prize 1974, Seán MacBride ( 1904-1988), who visited in Gorey the Mount St. Benedict School; the writer Diarmaid Ó Súilleabháin (1932-1985) was in Gorey teacher at the " Christian Brothers School ".
