Gornji Grad – Medveščak

Gornji Grad - Medveščak is a district of the Croatian capital Zagreb. Gornji Grad is in German translates as " upper city ". It is located about in the center and according to the census of 2001 living in this district 36,384 inhabitants. The area of the district is 10.12 km ².

For this district include the oldest parts of the Zagreb old town and some of the most interesting sights of the city: Both the Croatian Parliament ( Sabor ), as well as the Cathedral of Zagreb located in Gornji Grad. There is also the popular Tkalčićeva Street, with its many street cafes.

Government
