Gorzegno
Gorzegno ( Gorzègn Piedmontese ) is a municipality with 303 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012) in the Italian province of Cuneo (CN ), Region Piedmont.
Geography
The municipality covers an area of 13.8 km ². The village lies on the River Bormida in the Langhe Hills to 319m altitude. The territory extends up from the deepest point of 295m to 867m in height. Gorzegno is located 74 km west of the provincial capital of Cuneo. The neighboring municipalities are Feisoglio, Levice, Mombarcaro, Niella Belbo and Prunetto.
Near Gorzegno stands an old castle ruins.
Viniculture
In Gorzegno wine production. The berries of the grape varieties Pinot Noir and Chardonnay may be processed for sparkling wine Alta Langa.
