GOS (operating system)
GOS (good operating system; German good operating system ) was a Linux distribution that was developed gOS LLC in Los Angeles. It was published for the first time on 1 November 2007 with the sale of the Everex Green gPC TC2502, a personal computer, which was available for $ 199 at Walmart in the U.S.. All GPCs were sold off within two weeks.
GOS is based on Ubuntu and is aligned with some hyperlinks to Google applications. However, it is not Google's operating system, as is often too. Everex, the manufacturer of the aforementioned gOS PC says this clearly: " Everex makes it easy for everyone with the gPC ( Everex and its products, the gPC and gOS, are not affiliated with or sponsored by Google Inc.) ". The package management and hardware detection are taken from Ubuntu. Like Ubuntu, the system can be by means of a live system to test without changing an installed system. The medium required for this purpose image can be downloaded from the manufacturer's site.

GOS Gadgets 3.x
The version 3.x supported by the Wine technology also Windows programs and comes with Mozilla Firefox 3, Skype and OpenOffice.org.
GOS Rocket G
GOS Rocket G uses the Gnome desktop environment and unlike the first version of this Rocket dubbed version is ( to German rocket) no longer Everex labeled and thus no longer tailored for the gPC, but suitable for the general public. gOS Rocket G is available on DVD.
GOS Rocket E
Works with Enlightenment as a working environment. Since this is slimmer than GNOME, this edition is recommended especially for less powerful PCs. Enlightenment 17 of the publication was at the time still in development, so errors may occur. Since Enlightenment is very small, gOS Rocket E is available on CD.
GOS Space
This edition is specifically designed for users of the social network Myspace widespread. It contains some self-programmed and partly external programs that have been designed exclusively for the use of MySpace. It uses GNOME and some parts of Enlightenment as a working environment.
