Gosdorf is a municipality with 1154 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the southeastern Styria. It is located in the judicial district of Bad Radkersburg or district Südoststeiermark. On 1 January 2015 it is affiliated under the Styrian municipality structural reform with the municipalities gauge field and Mureck, the new community will continue the name Mureck.

Geography

Gosdorf is located in the district of Southeastern Styria, the Austrian province of Styria on the Mur River which is the border against Slovenia at the same time.

The municipality comprises the cadastral Diepersdorf, Fluttendorf and Gosdorf.

Neighboring communities

History

Gosdorf was first mentioned in 1286 as " Gocztichendorf ". The abolition of the manorial system was carried out in 1848. Diepersdorf by the local authorities, and Fluttendorf Gosdorf as autonomous bodies created in 1850. After the end of World War II, there were clashes with the Ljubljana " National Government for Slovenia and Istria " on the membership of the territory. After the annexation of Austria in 1938, the community came to Reichsgau Styria. On May 9, 1945, Soviet soldiers went in a room Gosdorf. From July 1945 to 1955 the communities were part of the British zone of occupation in Austria.

The communities Diepersdorf, Fluttendorf and Gosdorf were merged on January 1, 1969
