Goshen Township is one of 16 townships of Belmont County in the U.S. state of Ohio. According to the census in 2000 3252 inhabitants were registered here.

Geography

Goshen Township is located just southwest of the geographic center of Belmont County in eastern Ohio and borders clockwise to the townships: Union Township, Richland Township, Smith Township, Wayne Township, Somerset Township, Warren Township and Kirkwood Township.

Management

The township is administered by a Board of Trustees consisting of three elected members. Two persons are elected in the year after the presidential election and one each in the previous year. The term of office lasts four years, beginning on 1 January. There is also a Township Clerk (Secretary), who is also elected in the year before the presidential election to a four -year term. Whose term of office begins on April 1.
