GOSI

The General Organization for Social Insurance ( GOSI ) is a Social Security Office in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. His duties are similar to those of social security in Germany. GOSI collects the contributions from employers and pays benefits to eligible policyholders and their family members.

The administration of the Office consists of eleven directors, the directors are government ministers, employers and insured persons. The head office is located in Riyadh.

The tasks of the GOSI are described in a comprehensive article 70 law text called Social Insurance Law, the text was adopted on 13 November 2000 with the Royalene decree number 199.
