Gospel Music Association

The Gospel Music Association ( GMA) was founded in 1964 with the purpose to support all forms of gospel music and promote. The number of members is around 4,000 people worldwide. The GMA provides a network for artists, industry leaders, retail, radio stations, concert promoters and local churches to coordinate their activities and to support the Christian music industry.

Always in April of each year organizes the GMA, GMA Music Week in Nashville, Tennessee. There are organized informal meetings, seminars and concerts for artists, music industry, members and the media. The GMA Music Week ends are honored with the award of the GMA Dove Awards, with the outstanding achievements in gospel music and Christian pop music. Since 1974, Colorado is a year in Estes Park, the Festival Music in the Rockies organization. The festival offers a showcase for new composers, writers and artists in the Christian pop music.

The GMA Gospel Music Hall of Fame ( the Gospel Hall of Fame ) was founded in 1971. Artists who will have made extraordinary contributions to the promotion of the gospel will be included there. Known members are Elvis Presley, Mahalia Jackson, Keith Green, Larry Norman, The Blackwood Brothers, The Jordanaires, Johnny Cash and others.
