Gosper County, Nebraska

Gosper County is a county located in the state of Nebraska in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Elwood, named after Elwood Thomas, an early farmer in the area.

Geography

The County is located in southern Nebraska, is located in the south about 40 miles from Kansas and has an area of ​​1198 square kilometers, of which 12 square kilometers are water surface. Gosper County was formed in 1873. It was named after John J. Gosper, a Secretary of State of Nebraska.
