Göteborg International Film Festival

The Göteborg International Film Festival ( GIFF ), formerly the Gothenburg Film Festival, is an annual that takes place in Gothenburg Film Festival and is considered one of the most important events of the Scandinavian film industry. The film festival was founded in 1979.

The 36th GIFF took place between February 4, 2013 of 25 January.

In international competition, there is the main prize, the Dragon Award Best Nordic film for the best Nordic film. Other prizes will be awarded as the best short film and best debut (The Ingmar Bergman International Debut Award).
