Gotha Go 345
The Gotha Go 345 was a German military glider of World War II.
The development began in 1944 in Gotha Coach Factory as a cargo glider. The requirements, however, was soon changed into a struggle for sailors targeted point landings.
The cargo glider variant, the Go 345 A was designed as unpowered gliders. The structure resembled the earlier projects such as the Gotha Go 242, but was slightly smaller. The later developed Go 345 B additionally received an auxiliary drive, the 014 ( Verpuffungsstrahltriebwerken ) should be implemented with two Argus Pulso thrust tubes ace. Additionally, a braking rocket was built to allow point targeted landings on a limited land area.
This glider ten fully equipped troops could be transported. Induction took place in both variants by a hull side door.
