Götschetal
Götschetal was the name of a municipality in the district Saale in Saxony- Anhalt.
It was created on 1 July 2006 from the merger of the municipalities Wallwitz, Gutenberg, Nehlitz, Sennewitz and Teicha. The seat of the municipality was in Wallwitz. The community was a member and the seat of the administrative community Götschetal - Petersberg, which was dissolved on 1 January 2010. All member communities joined on the same day into unity municipality Petersberg.
In Götschetal lived 5632 inhabitants ( 31 December 2008) on an area of 32.94 km ². Last mayor Götschetals was Uli Leipnitz.
The community name was derived from the stream Götsche, after the municipal area flow through to the outskirts of Halle flows into the Saale.
