The plant was completed on 31 March 2004 and officially opened on 31 July 2004. The Goudi Olympic Hall is next to the Olympic Modern Pentathlon Centre for Goudi Olympic Complex. The total area of the complex is 231,700 square meters. The complex is located in the eastern center of Athens (28,5 km from the Olympic Village ). In the Goudi Olympic Hall badminton tournaments, and the shooting and fencing competitions of the modern pentathlon took place. The seating capacity was 4,100 (badminton ) or 3000 ( Modern Pentathlon ) seats.

After the Olympics, moved into the area with the Badminton Theatre.
