Goulburn Mulwaree Council

The area is 3220 km ² and has about 26,000 inhabitants. When combining the old LGA Goulburn City with parts of Mulwaree Shire in 2004 was the area still Greater Argyle, but after protests a year later got its present name.

Goulburn Mulwaree is located about 95 km northeast of the Australian capital Canberra and 190 km southwest of the city of Sydney in the southeast region of the state. The area includes 42 districts and towns, including Argyle, Bungonia, Goulburn, Lake Bathurst, Kenmore, Komungla, Marulan, Tallong, Tirrannaville, Towrang, Windellama, Yarra and part of Tarago. The seat of the Shire Council is located in the northern half of the LGA in Goulburn, which has about 20,000 inhabitants.
