Governor's Palace, Asmara

The Palazzo del Governatore is (Italian for Governor's Palace ) was built as the " Art Deco building ' former seat of government of the Italian governor of Italian Eritrea and now serves as the town hall of the Eritrean capital, Asmara.

Former Italian Governor's Palace was built in 1897 by Fernando Martini, the first governor of Eritrea ( today it is the Office of the President ). The Gibi, as he is called, was transformed during the imperial domination of the Ethiopian province of Eritrea now in the Museum of Asmara, as the Governor's Palace was exchanged at the present buildings.

The current city hall was built in the 1930s in typical fascist style, with a central tower, which was decorated at the entrance with " Fasci ".
