As Goyder an impact structure in northern Australia is called. The heavily eroded structure located in Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory and is named after the Goyder River nearby. The impact was recorded in the sedimentary rocks of the McArthur Basin. The deformed area is reflected at the surface and is identified by a 3 km- wide crater ring of broken and discarded sandstones. This part is interpreted as the eroded relic of the central uplift. The original crater rim has been eroded for a long time and probably had a diameter of 9-12 km.

The timing of the impact can not yet be accurately determined, but is probably younger than 1.325 billion years and significantly older than the Cretaceous.

The impact structure is very remote and difficult to access.
