Goz Beida is a small town in south eastern Chad and the capital of the region created in 2008 Sila and the Department Kimiti. Until 2008 it was the capital of the Department of Sila. Goz Beida has around 4,200 inhabitants.

Goz Beida is about 70 kilometers from the border with Sudan ( Darfur region ). Thousands of refugees from Sudan live here.
