Graach an der Mosel
Graach on the Mosel is a municipality in the district of Bernkastel -Wittlich, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality of Bernkastel- Kues.
Community structure
The municipality consists of the villages Graach and Graach sheep-fold. While Graach located in the Moselle valley, the village of sheep is above the vineyards at about 300 m above sea level. NHN.
History
Graach was first mentioned in 975 as Gracha. Since 1946 it has been part of the newly founded state of Rhineland- Palatinate.
Parish council
The local council in Graach consists of twelve council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 a proportional representation, and the honorary mayor as chairman.

Viniculture
The townscape of winegrowers' houses, mostly made of quarry stone, and wineries is characterized of which is the nationally best-known winery Willi Schaefer.
The Graacher vineyard is about 90% in the steep hillside, and serves 95% of the cultivation of the grape variety Riesling. Unique is the accumulation of the Church's vineyard name as the kingdom of heaven, provost and Abtsberg, which testify to the ancient preference of the princes of the church and monasteries for Graacher vineyards on imperishable way. The Winemaker of the Year in 2007 ( according to DLG) comes from Graach sheep-fold, Patrick Phillips, Winery Philips cornerstone.
