Grabów, Opole Voivodeship

Grabow, Polish Grabów is a town in Upper Silesia in the community room village ( Izbicko ) in the powiat Strzelecki in the Opole Voivodeship.

Geography

Grabow is located about 19 km from the district town Strzelce ( United Strehlitz ) away.

History

1855 had Grabow 101 and 113 inhabitants in 1861.

In the referendum on March 20, 1921 voted 19 voters to remain in Germany and 43 for Poland. Grabow remained with the German Reich. 1936, the town was renamed in White Book. By 1945, the place was in the district of Great Strehlitz.

In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration and renamed Grabów and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950, the city came to Opole Voivodeship. In 1999, Grabow to re-founded powiat Strzelecki.

On 6 March 2006 German was in the church parlor village, belongs to the Grabow, introduced as a second official language. On 20 May 2008, the City also received the official German place names Grabow. In December 2008, bilingual town signs were erected.
