Graf Ignatiev Street

Graf Ignatiev Street - ( Bulgarian улица Граф Игнатиев / uliza Graf Ignatiev, colloquially Bulgarian Графа, Count ) is one of the main streets in the center of the Bulgarian capital Sofia, named after the famous Russian Nikolai Pavlovich Ignatiev diplomat Count. It is 1.2 km long, running south of the Boulevard Tsar Osvoboditel, approximately parallel to and adjacent to the Boulevard Ewlogij Georgiev in the east ( its extension is the Dragan Tsankov Boulevard ), and to the Alabin Street in the west. The Graf Ignatiev street - crossing among other things, Rakovsky Street and the Boulevard Vasil Levski (formerly Boulevard Marshal Tolbuchin ).

The Patriarch Ewtimij Square and Slaveikov Square are located on this street. Along the road running some tram lines. Shortly after the liberation of Bulgaria (1887 ) it was called Samokowska street because their south-eastern extension was the road to Samokov. Since 26 April 2007, the street is a pedestrian zone.
