Geography

Geographical Location

The town is located north of Bad Kötzting between Kaitersberg and Hoher bow. Immediately at the site flows past the white rain.

History

Graf Meadows was first mentioned in 1177. 1217 a Seyfried de Kravewissen was mentioned. The Count meadows were ministeriales the Counts of Bogen and the Marquis of Cham. Her successor occurred in 1402 at the Hohenwarther. The Hofmark Graf Meadows was a fief of the monastery Rott am Inn. From the 16th to the 18th century they received several noble families by inheritance or purchase.

The four-winged castle Graf Meadows, which goes back to a medieval building, derived mainly from the period 1612-1620. 1712 bought the monastery Rott back at the Inn Good and Hofmark in whose hands Grafenwiesen 1803 remained until the secularization in Bavaria.
