Graham Condon

Graham Condon ( born February 11, 1949 and † September 8, 2007 in Christchurch ) was a New Zealand politician and Paralympic athletes.

Condon was instructed by a polio in his childhood on a wheelchair. He took 1968-1988 for New Zealand to a total of six Paralympic Games and 17 international competitions. He achieved several world records and won seven Paralympic medals.

In 1995 he was elected to the city council of Christchurch. Overall, Condon was re-elected four times and was a candidate for the elections in October 2007. However, in September 2007, he died in a traffic accident in Christchurch, when he went on a training ride with his hand bike and was hit by a car. Condon was married and had two children.

The planned Christchurch North Recreation Centre is realized in memory of Graham Condon as Condon Recreation and Sports Centre.
