Grand County (Utah)

Grand County is a county located in the state of Utah in the United States. 2010 Grand County had 9,225 inhabitants. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Moab, the largest city of the county.

Geography

It covers an area of ​​9568 square kilometers, of which 32 square kilometers of water. The Green River forms the western boundary of the county. The Colorado River flows through the southeastern part of the County. The county is bordered clockwise to the counties: Uintah County, Mesa County (Colorado), Garfield County ( Colorado), San Juan County and Emery County.

History

The county was founded in 1890 by the Colorado River, the Grand River was formerly named.
