Grand Lodge of British Freemasons in Germany

The Grand Lodge of British Freemasons in Germany was founded in its earliest form in 1957 and is an association of " regular " Masonic lodges. This Grand Lodge is one of the United Grand Lodges of Germany ( VGLvD ).

This Grand Lodge was how the American Canadian Grand Lodge, originally a Militärloge for members of the Allied Forces and was established in 1957 in West Germany as a district of the Grand Lodge AF & A.m founded; the working language is English, which is used commonly in England emulation ritual. The lodges of the GL BFG work in English tradition with memorized ritual texts.

In 1959, the district was raised to a Provinzialloge and called himself since 1971 Grand Country Lodge. In 1982, she was given its present name and the status of an independent Grand Lodge.

For several years the Grand Lodge evolved into an international association of Freemasons. At present, members from more than 15 nations are represented. In addition to the "resident members" in Germany, some are "country members" represented all over the world. The Grand Lodge of British Freemasons not affiliated Masonic Orders ( Mark, Royal Arch Chapter) edit almost all the rituals of English Freemasonry. Currently work under the GL BFG 16 lodges, mainly in North Rhine -Westphalia and Lower Saxony, but also in Hamburg, Munich and Berlin.
