Grandcourt (Somme)

Grandcourt is a North commune ( as at 1 January 2011) with 194 inhabitants in Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is part of the Canton of Albert and is part of the Communauté de communes du Pays du Coquelicot.

Geography

The municipality is situated approximately 10 kilometers north of Albert on the left bank of the River Ancre, at this Grand Court upwards following department road D151 and at the Pont des Poilus something changing below the town on the left bank railway line Paris -Lille.

History

The municipality received the Croix de guerre as a distinction from 1914 to 1918.
