Grande, Germany

Grande ( Low German Grann ) is a municipality in the district Stormarn in Schleswig-Holstein.

Geography

Grande located on the banks of the river Bille on the southeastern edge of the circle Stormarn, on the border of the Duchy of Lauenburg.

History

Grande was first mentioned in documents in 1248. However, it is likely to be older, because the deed of exchange from the parish Steinbek speaks in the parish Trittau. End of the 13th century the monastery Reinbek acquired the ownership of Grande. After the dissolution of the monastery in the context of the Reformation in 1529 the place came to the ruler's office Reinbek. 1609 moved Grande in the context of field adjustments in the sovereign office Trittau. Grande was one of the 17 so-called wooden villages.

Since the introduction of the Prussian municipal constitution in 1889 Grande belonged to the district of Trittau in Stormarn, who came up in today's office Trittau 1948.

Grande originally belonged to the parish Steinbek. At the creation of the parish Trittau 1248 this was responsible for the spiritual care of Grande.
